Someone on Fail Blog pointed this out. A CEO involved in a $3 billion fraud received a 3 year, 4 month sentence. Meanwhile, a homeless man who stole $100 from a bank because he was hungry, then turned himself in got 15 years.
Just goes to prove that our justice sentence is f*ed up when people, on behalf of corporations, can steal millions and billions and get a slap on the wrist. At least poor Mr. Brown will have a roof over his head and food to eat for the next 15 years.
And Bernie Madoff is looking for sympathy for his 150 year sentence? Sorry, not feeling it.
